TISCH NEW THEATRE
Tisch New Theatre (TNT) was born out of a pressing need for a participatory theatre outlet for all NYU students. Over the nearly twenty years since, TNT has become the premier student theatre organization at NYU. It has established itself as an avenue for students to work in all facets of the theatre, including performance, management, direction, production, and design.
TNT, a not-for-profit organization, is committed to developing technically and dramaturgically ambitious musical theatre works with the intention to entertain, challenge, and inspire. As a testing ground for students’ bold ideas across all facets of theatrical production, TNT balances modeling the industry with existing as a space for students to experiment, take risks, and practice their craft. TNT wholly prepares its student theatremakers to enter the industry, imbuing them with the technical skills and values necessary to succeed, as well as the courage to reshape existing frameworks.
TNT is focused on curating a theatrical space which allows us to implement our mission with integrity. We are committed to diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility throughout our organization and the production process.
This spring, join us for TNT’s PIPPIN.
Auditions will open in January 2026. Follow @tischnewtheatre on Instagram for updates.
